A DIRECTORY OF WOMEN & NONBINARY PERFORMERS

One of the reasons women and nonbinary performers tend to be under-represented on stages at festivals (and elsewhere) is due to a perceived lack of quality acts that are available. Another contributing factor is the relative scarcity of women/nonbinary persons as accompanists and side players. This directory hopes to be a tool in tackling both of these issues by:

• Giving women and nonbinary performers a means to promote their availability
• Giving bookers a tool to search for quality female or nonbinary acts
• Listing female and nonbinary side players for those seeking accompaniment

In order for the directory to maintain its usefulness to both musicians and bookers, it must represent artists at a certain level of professionalism, and therefore, we attach reasonable requirements to join, below.

REQUIREMENTS FOR INCLUSION ON THE DIRECTORY:

• You must identify as either a woman or nonbinary
• If you are in a mixed-gender band, a woman (or nonbinary person) must be the PRIMARY member
• You must have a dedicated performer website for yourself or your act (an artist profile on Facebook/Reverbnation/Sonicbids, etc. is allowable)
• You must have at least one EP or full-length album streaming online
• You must have at least two live-performance videos streaming online
